2013 Nobel Prize in Economics
Eugene F. Fama, University of Chicago Booth School of Business, Lars Peter Hansen, University of Chicago and Robert J. Shiller, Yale University shared the 2013 Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences for their work toward creating a deeper understanding of how market prices move.
“The Laureates have laid the foundation for the current understanding of asset prices,” the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, which selects the winner, said today in a statement in Stockholm. “It relies in part on fluctuations in risk and risk attitudes, and in part on behavioral biases and market frictions.”
Prize of thesis of the University awarded to a PhD student from GREQAM
On the basis of a proposal from the Scientific Council, the Prize of Thesis of Aix-Marseille University, was awarded to Maty Konte, GREQAM-AMSE.
This prize, to the amount of 1 000€, recognizes the excellence of the research works presented during its defense thesis in 2012 and will be given on Monday, November 25th, 2013 during the Academic and Scientific Day of Aix-Marseille University.
